Drivers born after January 1984, must have a Boating Safety ID Card to operate any watercraft on the lake.

 

If you do not have a certificate, you may qualify for a Temporary Certificate. (Effective August 28th, 2014 this applies to both MO and Non-MO residents.)

In order to obtain a Temporary Missouri Boater Identification Certificate, an applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Applicant must hold a valid out of state driver license.
  • The information must exactly match the applicant’s driver license.
  • Only one Temporary Boater Identification Certificate may be requested/purchased. Subsequent visit will require a Boater Certification Card from the visitor’s state, or you may take Missouri’s online course.

All renters must have a valid Driver’s License and, if born on or after January 1st 1984, a Boating Safety ID. As a Missouri resident, you may apply for a certificate by following this link:
